About cookies

A cookie is a small piece of data that is stored on your computer or mobile device by the server of the website. Only that particular server can retrieve and read the content of the cookie concerned. Cookies are used to identify you when you visit this website in order to make the website easier for you to use, either for the duration of your visit (using a 'session cookie'), or extending over repeated visits (using a 'permanent cookie').
Cookies are used to store user names, passwords and preferences. They enable the delivery of faster and more personal services to you. If a website does not utilise cookies, you will be regarded as a new visitor any time you move to a new page or re-visit the website. Cookies can be set up by the website you are visiting ('first party cookies') or by other websites that are providing the content of the page you are viewing ('third party cookies'). Each cookie is unique to the browser you are using to visit the website. Cookies are not software and they are not harmful to your computer. They do not contain computer code and do not store sensitive information that could personally identify you.

The emiartdesign.si website uses cookies to collect analytical and user data for our website with the ultimate objective of improving the users' experience. By means of cookies, emiartdesign.si can automatically collect technical information that is not personally identifiable. This may be information regarding the Internet browser used by you and the domain name of the website that referred you to us. We can aggregate this type of information for market research purposes and to improve our website. In order to achieve these objectives, we make use of several different cookies.
Some cookies are used to ensure the proper functioning of the website. As a rule, these are 'session cookies' that are removed when you conclude your visit. These cookies make certain, for example, that our content management system will display the proper information to you. We also make use of other types of cookies in order to gather information about the way in which our website is used, so that we may make the website more efficient and user friendly. These cookies are stored on your computer when you conclude your visit to the website.
For example, some of our cookies send non-personal information to Google Analytics: a service we employ to gather information about the frequency with which the pages are visited, what page has referred you to us, and how long the pages are viewed.  The cookies do not disclose your identity, but they offer us an overall picture of how many people use our website and in what ways they do so. This helps us to improve our website and to provide better, more relevant content.
We also use 'accessibility cookies' to store information about your preferences, such as font size, and cookies that will allow you to bookmark pages on your personal social media site accounts. We do not sell the information collected by cookies, nor do we disclose this information to third party, unless required by law (for example: to governmental and law-enforcement agencies).

How do we use this information?

We use the information collected about you in the following ways:

  • To ensure that the site's content is displayed in the way that is most effective for you and your computer.
  • To be able to provide information, products and services that you have requested, or that we think may be relevant for you if you have given your consent to be contacted for such purposes.
  • To fulfil our contractual and legal obligations.
  • To make it possible for you to participate in the interactive features of our service, if you have selected to do so.
  • To inform you of changes related to our service.
  • To help us offer and deliver successful events and exhibitions.
  • To provide aggregated statistics to reliable third parties about our customers, types of browsers, operating systems, Internet, domain, profile information and demographic data, web traffic patterns and a variety of other related site information.  These statistics do not contain personally identifiable information.
  • To provide information for similar purposes to the service desk  of our agencies.
  • If you are an existing customer, we will contact you only using electronic means (e-mail or text message) with information about products and services that may be relevant for you.
  • If you are a new visitor, and if we have given permission to third parties to use your data, we (or they) will contact you by electronic means if you have consented to this.
